Web Management
Edify Labs
Edify is a business communications software company. They developed the first cloud-native call center software, Huddle, and provide various communication solutions for businesses.
Edify used the HubSpot CMS for their website needs. From a development standpoint, HubSpot allows you to create raw HTML layouts that can easily be updated by people without any coding knowledge. HubSpot uses a stripped down version of Bootstrap and a proprietary markup language to easily call in data (like images or copy).
As the web developer for the Marketing Team, I was responsible for maintaining and updating the website. This involved two redesigns to the entire site during my tenure, the development of layouts that could be easily used by various departments in the company, and providing support to the content generators at the company.
In addition to the development of the website, I was also tasked with collecting and analyzing the site analytics. Edify utilized HubSpot’s own analytic data, Mouseflow, and Google Analytics for their needs. By combining role of data analyst and developer, I was able to make improvements to the site that help drive traffic and expand our contact database.
Other tasks included:
- Assisted the Education Team:
- Aided in the development of educational materials for client training purposes. This acted as a subsection of the company website with unique layouts and content.
- Created custom search modules limited to pages just containing training materials.
- Developed multiple blogs to be used for this team, to better organize the various aspects of the product software.
- Created an automated system of notifications for new users that sent emails based on where they were at in the training program and how they had been responding to the program.
- Worked closely with the company’s graphic designers.
- Helped to develop a video library with the company’s video editor.
- Automated webinar signups to pass data from HubSpot contact forms to Zoom.
- Created custom databases of contacts to be used for various campaigns.
- Created layouts for emails.
- Provided design updates and adjustments to the API documentation pages.
- Involved in strategic planning for the Marketing Team.
